Aces vs ace-king: the odds

What are the odds of pocket aces against ace-king?

Hand Cards Wins Equity
Pocket aces A♥ A♦ 87.2% 87.9%
Ace-king suited K♠ A♠ 11.5% 12.1%
Split pot 1.26%

All-in before the flop, with five cards to come. Equity is each hand's average share of the pot — outright wins plus half of the split pots. Computed by enumerating all 1,712,304 possible boards with this site's own engine, so these are exact figures rather than a simulation.

Why the number looks like that

The worst spot in Hold’em short of a dead hand: two of the aces are gone, so pairing the ace is nearly impossible, and a king gives aces a better two pair. The suited king is doing most of the work.
